IRS Modernized Electronic Filing MEF

MeF is a major IRS business modernization project. MeF provides electronic filing and tax return validation for corporations and tax-exempt organizations without an intermediary, significantly reducing time to file business tax returns e-file Forms 1120, 1120S, 990, 990EZ, 990PF, 1120-POL, 1065, 1065-B, 7004 and 8868. MeF will become the primary interface for all business filings adding capabilities for corporations and tax-exempt organizations to file joint federal and state returns electronically.
