Expertech Solutions designed,
developed, and implemented a Security Portal prototype for EPA. The
portal, a service
oriented implementation,
provided
multiple classes of security services to EPA executives and mangers,
security personnel, training personnel, and general EPA staff. Expertech
reviewed and followed the EPA’s Security policies and guidelines,
IRM guidelines and FEA standards, and ensured that the portal complied
with federal security guidelines, presidential mandates. Specifically,
we worked closely with the EPA-wide service group, and security office,
and used guidelines of both groups as appropriate. In areas in which
guidelines had not yet been developed or published, Expertech ensured
that appropriate update recommendations were made to EPA. Additionally,
Expertech developed a security strategy white paper that integrated EPA’s
policies, practices and resources into a security posture.
