JOB DESCRIPTION:
Seeking an experienced Information Security Engineer to provide program and project
security consulting to federal clients. Candidate acts as the subject matter expert
in system security/information assurance for federal agencies. The Information
Security Engineer must know how to conduct security assessments, develop security
postures, and write security plans.
- 12 years of professional IT or systems engineering experience.
- Candidates must have 6 years of experience in information and cyber security assessments, writing C&As, and POA&Ms.
- Professional certifications such as CISSP a plus.
- Working knowledge of NIST, FIPS, and Executive Order information and cyber security standards.
- Candidate must possess excellent oral/written communications and customer interface skills.
- Must be comfortable working as a consultant with and for executives, senior management, staff and stakeholders, with minimum guidance to meet goals, objectives and deadlines under demanding situations.
- Must be able to work with other team members and report to project manager.
- Must be able to obtain security clearance.
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering, computer science or related technical field; a master's degree is preferred.
